How fast the season has flown by!  Trust you are enjoying this little mini break from training and playing. There are just 4 games in regular competition left, and good performances could see your team in the semi-finals on August 21 and through to finals on August 28. Any bad weather that causes a cancellation will push the dates out one week. We are packing an awful lot of events into the next few weeks and we are looking to everyone to support as many events as possible. You are part of the Club and all funds raised support netball.

Fundraising is ongoing and our next events are

 Saturday 24 July - BBQ at Hagley Courts - firing up from 8am

• be a helper on the BBQ cooking those sausages and onions, or loading the bread with sauce and giving excellent customer service with a smile
• bring your $2 coin and buy a perfectly cooked sausage

 Sunday 1 August - Quiz Afternoon - 3pm, The Bealey

• this will run from 3 - 6pm
• tickets are $70 a table of 4-6 people. This incudes guarantee answer per round (stars) and some lucky people will get some nice little surprises
• the organiser should pay Technical Netball the $70.
• lets get all teams having at least one table. This event is not far away, so make plans now, talk to family and friends.

 Entertainment Books are always on sale - only digital versions available.  Order online here. The books are $70, with a credit card transaction fee on top, but we do earn $14 from each sale.

 Centenary Celebrations - August 3 - 7

Of course we cannot forget that Technical Netball is celebrating 100 years, after being established in 1921. There is a passionate and hard working committee determined to make this an occasion to remember. Reach out to old friends and arrange to get together, there is still time to put you name forward. There is a $10 registration to help with some costs, but there are no additional costs to attend Tuesday night games and the Club Day on Saturday afternoon/evening. There is a $30 cost for Friday night and $20 for Saturday night pub crawl (numbers are limited). 

End of Season Prize Giving plans



We have pencilled in Tuesday 31 August for our end of season prize giving event, so pop the date in your diary. More details to come. We will shortly be asking Coaches for their nominations for awards and trophies.

The Bealey have generously come on board as a sponsor of Technical this year, which has helped us in purchasing the new uniforms and reducing your subs. Part of our agreement is to have teams going there on Saturday afternoons for a post-game catch up over some food and drink. All teams have now been rostered to attend over the rest of the season and we strongly encourage as many of the team, family and friends to attend. The Coach has been given the roster and should be in touch to confirm your Saturday. Also, make excellent use of the loyalty card provided and see how many places you can use it at. We need to show the Bealey that we are worth sponsoring and can continue the relationship in 2022.

There are still a number of players who have not paid their subscriptions, and your Coach has a list.  We need you to pay now, as we have to pay fees to ChCh Netball. You can still arrange to make payment by instalments.by contacting us on info@technicalnetball.co.nz.
