- uniforms, jackets and backpacks. Coaches need to attend to pick up their training bags.
We are looking for some new people to join us and help out this season. The current committee has got the season underway and all teams are nearly selected. We generally meet every 4 to 6 weeks depending on need. The day will be agreed to suit committee members, but typically this has been Monday or Tuesday night from 7.30pm. For 2012 we will be meeting in Avonhead. Some of the tasks we need help with are;
- keeping website updated and sending out newsletters
- maintaining our database of players and coaches
- liaise with Coaches to ensure they have the help they need
- liaise with Club Umpires and Under12 umpires to ensure they have the help they need
- progress our desire to become an incorporated society
- anything else that you think would be a good idea for the committee to do
If you would be keen to perhaps take on one of these tasks but don't want to be tied to committee meetings, then we are happy to consider your offer of help.
This is when you come and buy/sell uniforms and pick up your Club jacket and backpack. If you are new to the Club you may not be aware that we require players to buy their playing uniform (Technical shirt and skirt), although we do issue jackets and backpacks, which need to be returned at the end of the season. The cost of a complete uniform is $79, although you can buy separately the shirt for $47 and the skirt for $32.
If you are unable to attend to pick up your jacket and backpack, then please make arrangements for someone else to pick up on your behalf, otherwise you may miss out on getting this gear. You will still be responsible for returning the gear at the end of the season.
You may also pay subscriptions
(cash or cheque only), although you are strongly encouraged to pay these electronically to Westpac 03 1591 0105537 00, and providing player name as reference. All adult grades plus U19 are $145 and from U17 down to U12 the subs are $110 if paid by 8 April. If you are a player and also coach another team, then we give you a 50% discount off your subs. Also if you are the parent of a player and are coaching the team, we will give you a 50% discount off the player sub. For any family who has two or more school age players, we provide a 10% discount off each subs.
We still have a need for Coaches
This year we will be paying $150 for the season for Club Umpires. If you know someone - a brother or sister, or other family member or friend - that could be interested, then please let us know.
Thank you all for attending trials. We are working on final team compositions and you will be contacted about your practice sessions. It would be appreciated if you wait until at least Monday Apr 2 before asking us what is happening with you and your team. It takes some time to get the coaches allocated, who then need some time to make contact and arrange a practice session. We will email you to confirm your place in a team.
